Installing Windows Subsystem for Linux

We highly recommend that Windows 10 users install the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) on their desktop system. With WSL, you get a full Ubuntu shell capability that works directly on the Windows 10 OS kernel.

Installation instructions

In order to install WSL, you will need Administrator privileges on your desktop system.
